“We’re Proud Of You”  —  Buhari Celebrates Hilda Baci For Breaking Cooking Record

President Muhammadu Buhari praised Hilda Baci as a cultural icon. Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, has achieved the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by one individual. President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has congratulated and hailed Baci for her achievement. On Thursday, May 11, Baci arrived at the Amore Gardens to kick off the first day of her quest to complete a culinary marathon that would last for four days.

She has been cooking for 87 hours and 46 minutes as of 7:46 am on Monday, May 15, 2023. As a result, she has broken the record that was previously held by an Indian chef named Lata Tondon in 2019.

In a series of tweets, President Buhari sent his congratulations to Baci, stating that the 27-year-old has brought attention to Nigeria on a global scale. The president of Nigeria referred to her as a cultural icon and stated that her desire and tenacity have generated a lot of attention and understanding into the distinctiveness of Nigerian dishes. He remarked that she is an icon.
