Macron’s “Unveilievable” Campaign Highlights Bespoke Kit Design

Macron, an Italian sportswear brand based in Bologna, has launched its new “Unveilievable” campaign, which focuses on the intricate design and cultural significance of football kits for the 2026/27 season. This initiative follows last year’s “The Shape Of Beauty” campaign, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to presenting football shirts as admired design objects rather than mere merchandise.

The campaign challenges conventional kit launch methods, which often involve standard lifestyle shots and social media rollouts. Instead, Macron aims to create broader creative narratives that emphasize design, storytelling, and identity. The “Unveilievable” project centers on the act of revealing, showcasing 19 of Macron’s upcoming designs for the 2026/27 season. These kits are initially concealed beneath a veil before being gradually unveiled through a series of visuals.

The campaign’s title, “Unveilievable,” is a combination of “unveil” and “unbelievable,” capturing the moment when the details of a new kit are finally revealed. This approach highlights the brand’s focus on intricate details and bespoke design, a characteristic that has become central to Macron’s identity.

Emphasizing Individuality and Cultural Connection

Macron has built a reputation for avoiding generic templates, opting instead for unique visual identities for each of its partner clubs. This philosophy stands in contrast to larger sportswear companies that often use scalable design systems across numerous clubs. The “Unveilievable” campaign underscores this commitment to individuality, featuring shirts from diverse clubs such as Wrexham, Crystal Palace, Bologna, Sampdoria, FC Basel, Osasuna, and Hoffenheim. Despite spanning various leagues and fan cultures, each shirt is designed to be distinctly tied to the club it represents.

The campaign also extends beyond football through a collaboration with Bologna-based artist Alessandro Benfenati. During the campaign shoot, Benfenati created a live visual poetry artwork that explored threads, textures, and connections. This artistic endeavor transformed fabric into a metaphor for the relationships between clubs, communities, and supporters, reinforcing the idea that these shirts are significant cultural artifacts as much as they are sporting apparel.

Macron’s reach has expanded significantly, now encompassing over 100 clubs and federations across multiple sports. Despite this growth, the brand continues to prioritize bespoke creation over mass replication. Campaigns like “Unveilievable” are designed to place the work itself at the center of attention, rather than focusing on viral moments or aggressive marketing.

Cesena’s New Home Jersey: An Ode to Tradition

In a related development, Macron has officially unveiled the new home jersey for Cesena for the 2026/27 season, marking the beginning of a multi-year partnership with the Romagna-based club. The design of this kit is deeply rooted in the history and symbols of the city. The presentation of the jersey took place at the Antica Stamperia Pascucci in Gambettola, a historic village in the Cesena area known for producing fine Romagna fabrics using traditional hand-printing techniques since 1826.

The 2026/27 Cesena home kit maintains traditional white as its primary color, complemented by black details on the crew neck and sleeve cuffs. The front and back of the shirt feature an embossed graphic that incorporates elements celebrating Cesena’s history and identity. These include the Cavalluccio, the club’s iconic symbol, along with details from the city crest such as the distinctive serrated border, the turreted crown, and the lily contained within the ‘Capo d’Angiò’. The Macron Hero logo and the Cesena crest are also prominently displayed on the chest.

The shoulders and sleeves of the jersey are entirely white with a raglan cut, defined by elegant black piping that is mirrored by inserts along the sides of the shirt. These elements are distinguished from the central body of the jersey by a different fabric texture, creating a dynamic visual effect. The kit also includes two versions of shorts: a white option with white drawstrings and black side inserts, and a black version with a white waistband and matching details. The game set is completed with white socks, featuring a horizontal black stripe positioned just below the upper edge.

The new Cesena FC Home Kit for 2026/27 is available for purchase in the dedicated section of macron.com, alongside the full official collection created by Macron for the club.
