Arsenal’s Midfield Reinforcement and Attacking Targets
Arsenal have officially completed the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United for a reported fee of £75m. The 28-year-old midfielder’s arrival is seen as a significant move for the club. Ross Wilson, Newcastle‘s sporting director, indicated that Guimaraes had expressed a desire to leave, influencing the club’s decision to facilitate the transfer.
In their search for new attacking options, Arsenal are exploring alternatives after missing out on Vinicius Jr, who signed a contract extension with Real Madrid. The club has made contact with Ferran Torres‘ representatives, with the Barcelona forward now among the players being considered. Additionally, Julian Alvarez of Atletico Madrid is a key target for Arsenal‘s attack, and the club is also monitoring Kenan Yildiz, a winger from Juventus, although Juventus has stated they do not wish to sell the 21-year-old.
Arsenal had reportedly made an enquiry for Tottenham captain Cristian Romero, but Tottenham denied any approach from their North London rivals. Reports suggest Tottenham has no intention of selling Romero to Arsenal, despite talks with other clubs like Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan. Romero is understood to have a £55m release clause for Premier League clubs, which Arsenal is reportedly prepared to trigger.
Liverpool’s Defensive Additions and Other Movements
Liverpool are close to securing a loan deal for Ronald Araujo from Barcelona, which includes an option to buy the 27-year-old former Barcelona captain. This move aims to provide defensive reinforcements for the Merseyside club. Araujo, primarily a central defender, can also play at right-back, offering increased depth in both positions.
The club is also keen to finalize a deal for Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye. Reports suggest Liverpool could be making progress on Barcola, with a reported €115m bid for the France international. However, an agreement to sign Barcola has not yet been reached.
Elsewhere, Manchester United are looking for a new left-back and are reportedly considering a bid for Antonee Robinson from Fulham. This comes after their attempts to sign Lewis Hall were unsuccessful, as Newcastle ruled out a sale. Michael Carrick is seeking a long-term successor for Luke Shaw, who is in the final 12 months of his contract.
Chelsea are set to confirm the arrival of Pep Chavarria, who is heading to London for a medical. However, Chelsea could potentially lose both Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Neto to Manchester City. Chelsea reportedly values Enzo Fernandez at £120m this summer, with Manchester City reportedly interested in him as a replacement for Rodri.

Aston Villa are reportedly nearing the signing of Atletico Madrid defender Matteo Ruggeri. Crystal Palace are close to signing Zavier Gozo, an American teenage winger from Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer (MLS). Gozo has reportedly been granted permission to travel to the UK for a medical with Palace.
Endrick could be headed for the Premier League, with his representatives reportedly working on a potential transfer after he fell further down the pecking order at Real Madrid. Tottenham, meanwhile, made enquiries about Benjamin Sesko, but Manchester United have stated that the 23-year-old striker is not for sale, viewing him as a key part of Michael Carrick‘s long-term plans.
Rodri is reportedly considering leaving Manchester City, with interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid. Barcelona had an initial offer of €45m (£38.7m) rejected by Manchester City for the Spain international. Manchester City is reluctant to enter negotiations until a deal closer to their valuation is proposed. Manchester United has also agreed to loan goalkeeper Altay Bayindir to Celta Vigo for the season, with an option to buy for a reported fee of £3.5m.
