French website “Foot Mercato” indicates that Olise is eager for the transfer, which would reunite him with former World Cup teammates Aurelien Tchouameni and Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe is said to have played a crucial role in convincing Olise to consider the Real Madrid project.
According to German newspaper “Bild”, Olise shared his interest in joining Real Madrid with his France teammates and was receptive to Mbappe’s encouragement. Throughout the tournament, Mbappe reportedly worked to persuade Olise, assuring him of the club’s determination and highlighting the lifestyle in the Spanish capital.
Mbappe is even reported to have informed Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about the positive feedback received from Olise. The winger is also said to have reservations about winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich, believing he could achieve more at the Bernabeu.
