Interest in Michael Olise Intensifies
Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is currently a subject of significant transfer interest. Despite Bayern chairman Herbert Hainer stating that Olise is not for sale and is under contract until 2029, both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are reportedly linked with the player. Recent reports from L’Équipe indicate that Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to attempt to sign Olise during the summer transfer window. This interest comes after Real Madrid was also rumoured to be keen on the French international.
There is a reported sense of optimism from the Parisian management regarding a positive outcome for a deal. While Olise’s current contract extends to 2029, discussions around a potential contract extension could prove more challenging and costly for Bayern Munich. Rumours suggest that Bayern Munich might look to secure a new deal with Olise at some point in the 2026/27 season.
Olise is preparing to participate in his first World Cup with Les Bleus. His brother, Richard Olise, a defender, was recently released by Chelsea as part of an academy restructuring, ending an 11-year spell at Stamford Bridge without a senior competitive appearance.
Bayern’s Transfer Activities and Player Monitoring
Bayern Munich is reportedly close to a deal for Eintracht left-back Nathaniel Brown. Talks are ongoing regarding fees and add-ons for the player, who is set to start Germany’s World Cup opener. If completed, this transfer would make Brown the second costliest full-back in the Bundesliga.
The club is also monitoring Club Brugge’s Germany U21 striker Nicolo Tresoldi, who is under contract until 2029 and was reportedly close to a World Cup call-up. Additionally, Bayern is assessing a potential move for Marcus Rashford to enhance depth on the left side and provide cover for Harry Kane, though his wages present a significant obstacle. Barcelona is unlikely to make Rashford’s loan permanent.
Bayern reportedly admires Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli but values him at a figure well below Arsenal’s valuation. Both Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico are also said to be interested in the Brazilian, who is under contract until 2027 with an option for extension.
In other transfer news, Bayern is nearing a deal for PSV’s Ismael Saibari. Saibari, who was named the Eredivisie player of the season, can play centrally or out wide and could potentially represent a record sale for PSV.

Other Player Movements and World Cup Preparations
SV Elversberg has permanently signed Bayern prospect Maurice Krattenmacher, with Bayern retaining a buy-back clause following his loan at Hertha. Krattenmacher is now set to play in the Bundesliga.
Canada boss Jesse Marsch has ruled out Bayern’s Alphonso Davies for the World Cup opener. However, an MRI scan shows strong progress, and there is a possibility he could return later in the group stage after recovering from injuries, including a setback during a Paris Saint-Germain semi-final match.
Manchester United is expected to monitor Bayern centre-back Kim Min-jae at the World Cup, amid interest from Juventus and Turkey. With Upamecano and Tah reportedly being first-choice options, Kim’s future at Bayern could be evaluated despite his contract running until 2028.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid is reportedly considering an approach for Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori. This comes amid their ongoing presidential election campaign, with expected new head coach Jose Mourinho reportedly keen to reunite with Calafiori, having worked with him previously at Roma. Calafiori played a role in Arsenal winning the Premier League title and is contracted at the Emirates Stadium until the summer of 2029.
