Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez, is scheduled to announce the club’s initial major signing for the upcoming season on Thursday, June 4. This announcement precedes the Real Madrid presidential election, which is set for June 7.
Pérez, who is the current president and a candidate in the upcoming election, confirmed in an interview with El Español that the first signing for the new season would be disclosed this week. He stated, “This Thursday, I will announce Real Madrid’s first major signing for next season.” Pérez also affirmed his sporting vision, saying, “Everyone knows what my sporting plan is: to have the best players and continue winning.”
Squad Reinforcement Plans
The president is reportedly keen on strengthening Real Madrid‘s squad, particularly after the team did not secure any major trophies in the recently concluded season. Sources indicate that the club has been working on a significant restructuring of the squad, which is expected to involve at least five changes to the team.
Pérez previously mentioned at an event with supporters’ clubs in Toledo that “New stars will come, new signings. We know what reinforcements we need and they will be here next season wearing the Real Madrid shirt.” The primary objective of these changes is to refresh the defense and midfield.
