Liverpool are set to begin their summer tour in the United States with a preseason friendly against Sunderland. The match will mark the unofficial debut of Andoni Iraola as Liverpool’s manager. The fixture is scheduled to take place at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
Both teams will be playing without some of their key players who participated in the World Cup. Despite the absence of several stars, there is considerable interest surrounding Liverpool’s new era under Iraola, especially following a challenging title defense season.
Match Details and Broadcast Information
The friendly between Liverpool and Sunderland is scheduled for Saturday, July 25. Kick-off times are set for 11 p.m. BST, 6 p.m. PT, and 3 p.m. ET.
For fans in the United Kingdom, the match can be viewed by subscribing to either LFCTV or SAFC Live. Preseason Schedules for Both Clubs
Following their match in Nashville, both Liverpool and Sunderland have additional fixtures planned for their summer tours. Liverpool is scheduled to play two more matches in the United States, facing Wrexham in New York on Wednesday and then Leeds United the following Sunday.
Sunderland’s itinerary includes a match against Leeds on Thursday evening, followed by a game against Wrexham in Philadelphia next Sunday. Before the new season commences, Sunderland will also face Ligue 1 opposition, with two friendlies against Lens and another against Rennes.
Liverpool will return to Merseyside for a friendly against Monaco on August 9.
