UEW Second Semester Reopening Arrangements

Management of the University of Education, has revealed the reopening arrangements for the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year for undergraduate students.

According to management, all students are expected to report on Saturday, May 20, 2023

Registration of Students will start Monday, May 22, 2023 and end on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. This is a two-day exercise. All students who fail to register themselves, be it course registration may find themselves wanting.

Lectures will officially Begin on Thursday, May 25, 2023. The official Timetable for the second semester will be out before Thursday 25th May, 2023

The University management wishes to kindly inform all Principals, Deans, Heads of Department, and Students of the following re-opening arrangements for the second semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Year

Arrival of Students: Saturday, May 20, 2023
Registration of Students: Monday, May 22 – Wednesday, May 24, 2023
Lectures Begin: Thursday, May 25, 2023

All Principals, Deans, and Heads of Department are kindly requested to take note of these arrangements for strict compliance.

ABOUT UEW

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) was established in September, 1992 as a University College under PNDC Law 322. On 14th May, 2004 the University of Education Act, Act 672 was enacted to upgrade the status of the University College of Education of Winneba to the status of a full University.

The University College of Education of Winneba brought together seven diploma awarding colleges located in different towns under one umbrella institution. These Colleges were the Advanced Teacher Training College, the Specialist Training College and the National Academy of Music, all at Winneba; the School of Ghana Languages, Ajumako; the College of Special Education, Akwapim-Mampong; the Advanced Technical Training College, Kumasi; and the St. Andrews Agricultural Training College, Mampong-Ashanti.

The three sites in Winneba now referred to as the Winneba campus is the seat of the Vice-Chancellor with a satellite campus at Ajumako.
