The National Cathedral project should be suspended and reviewed, according to two distinguished clergymen. In a memo to the Board of Trustees, Archbishop Duncan Williams and Reverend Eastwood Anaba announced the decision.

The two renowned preachers emphasized the need for a nationally renowned auditor in their statement. Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, the creator of the LightHouse Chapel International, resigned from the Board of Trustees of the Cathedral in August 2022 as a result of the numerous problems.

Nonetheless, five months after his departure, the bishop’s reasons for leaving the Board were made public in a letter that was leaked.

The Bishop adequately addressed the aforementioned letter to the National Cathedral’s chairman of the board of trustees.

The Preacher stated in his resignation letter, which seems to have been leaked, that his departure was motivated by ongoing worries over the National Cathedral’s price tag as well as other relevant matters.

“These, if heeded, would have made our project more achievable. Generally speaking, my inputs, my opinions, and my letters have been trivialized and set aside”, the letter said.
