Will this investigative piece dubbed the Galamsey Economy be the final straw that breaks the government’s back on the fight against illegal mining, or one that will exonerate the government and its appointees?

The investigative journalist, Anas Aremeywa Anas in collaboration with Star Ghana Foundation and Citizens Coalition is set to premiere the investigative film “Galamsey Economy” on the 14th and 15th of November at 5 pm and 8 pm each night.

The venue where the hearts of Ghanaians will be broken by Anas is the International Conference Centre.

The announcement by Anas has attracted great interest already, and many who are directly or indirectly engaged in Galamsey are sitting on a knife’s edge.

The suspense Anas Aremeyaw Anas has plunged Ghana into is just like he did ahead of the No.12 Football Investigative piece.

His hint of what Ghanaians will be a preview to when they watch the Galamsey Economy has already added to the pressure the citizens are facing in the current economic hardship. The Anas exposé “Galamsey Economy” which is going to be focused on illegal mining will leave Ghanaians shocked and angered.

Earlier, on his Facebook page, Anas teased his numerous followers by seeking their views on whether he should release the findings of his investigative piece or not.

“To show or not to show?

“I need the answers quickly so we can decide,” Anas wrote on Monday, November 7, 2022.

The post has triggered numerous reactions, with his followers asking him to release the investigative piece without hesitation, guessing it might expose some possible corrupt activities by some public officeholders that might have plunged the country into the current economic crisis.

The internationally recognized undercover journalist has been missing in action for some time now, and his re-emergence has got many people wondering where he has been all the while when corruption, an activity he is known to be passionate about ending continues to boom in Ghana.

Anas has released many explosive exposés that shook the country and brought to the fore numerous corruption activities engaged in by public office holders.

His ‘Number 12’ expose released in 2018 collapsed the Ghana Football Association and also led to the sacking and an inconclusive prosecution of the then president of the association Kwesi Nantakyi who was implicated.

 

Every right-thinking Ghanaian who wants the lost fight against Galamsey won all over is supporting Anas to premier the Galamsey Economy.

Also, Anas’s ‘Ghana In The Eyes Of God’ expose in 2015 caused the cleansing of Ghana’s judiciary and led to the dismissal of some of 34 judges who were caught on tape receiving bribes to pervert justice.

Aside from the two stated above he also released many other groundbreaking exposés, including Galamsey Fraud, Ghana Sex Mafia, and Enemies Of The Nation, among many others.
