WAEC Cancels BECE Results of 73 School Candidates and 7 Private Candidates

The entire results of 73 school candidates and seven private candidates have been cancelled by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) for bringing mobile phones into the examination hall.

Similarly, the subjects result of 416 school candidates and three candidates have been cancelled for the offence of bringing foreign materials into the examination Hall.

The results of school candidates will be sent to their respective schools by the Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors of Education, according to a statement released by WAEC on January 25.

Students who haven’t checked their results yet should visit the council’s website to do so.

A total of 552,228 candidates sat for the BECE. 276,999 males and 275,289 being females.

Out of the total number of candidates who registered, 4,309 candidates were absent.
