Beware of Fake School Placements – Education Ministry

Parents and guardians of prospective Senior High School students have been advised by the Ministry of Education to refrain from making payments while the school placement process gets underway.

The Ministry stated in a press release dated January 28 that the hiring procedure is solely based on qualifications and that no other consideration is given at all.

“Prospective Senior High School students, parents/guardians and the general public are hereby cautioned against any form of payment to unscrupulous individuals, offering to secure their preferred choice of school during the 2023 Computerised School Placement into Senior High/TVET Schools.”

This comes following the debut of the “School Placement for Sale” trailer by The Fourth Estate.

The documentary shows parents, guardians, and those in authority of school placement striking arrangements to place children in the schools of their choice.

The documentary has now been released by the Fourth Estate.
