Terrible Road Accident At Accra Cape Coast Highway – 15 Passengers Confirmed Dead On The Spot.

Despite all the efforts of the Ghana Police Service to ensure and enforce road safety protocols in other to reduce the high rate of road accidents in Ghana, drivers do not want to make the work of the Police Officers easy.

Drivers are still interested in overspeeding, overtaking, and unnecessary overtaking. Some drivers are not concerned about how to reduce road accidents and hence careless driving. Another deadly accident has been recorded in the Greater Accra Region and Central Region. It is very sad to announce that 15 passengers passed on at the accident scene. Several people have been injured and were rushed to the nearby hospitals in Greater Accra and Cape Coast.

A horrifying collision on the Accra-Cape Coast highway at Gomoa Okyereko has left at least 15 people dead and numerous others injured.

A Yutong bus and a tanker carrying fuel to Liberia Camp close to Budumburam were involved in the accident. The Winneba Fire Service is currently on the spot carrying out the rescue. Some of the eyewitnesses speak about the deadly accident which claims the lives of fifty people.

Most of them attest to the media that, the accident was caused by two major problems relating to driving. One of the major problems has been linked to wrong Overtaking by the Yutong bus. The speed was very high and hence collided with a tanker carrying fuel to Liberia Camp close to Budumburam.

It is indeed a terrible accident and much condolences to the families who lost their valuable treasures in that accident.  We must learn to abide by road safety protocols whenever we are driving to minimize the rate of road accidents in the country of Ghana.
